Honors/GATE
Honors classes are available for qualified 7th and 8th grade students in English/Language Arts, Social Science, and Science.
In addition, Geometry and Spanish I are high school level classes available to students who qualify based on prior performance and academic standing.
Honors courses are designed to provide academically advanced students with sophisticated and complex learning experiences in English, Language Arts, Social Science and Science, as well as Geometry and Spanish I. Honors courses demand the highest level of participation, effort, and quality from students. The curriculum and material in an honors course is extended beyond the core and places additional emphasis on higher-level thinking and exploring aspects of the curriculum at greater depths and levels of complexity.
