 Principal's Message
Greetings and welcome to Haskell Middle School’s new website. We invite you to explore our webpage and links and visit us regularly for valuable information and calendar updates. I believe our students are one of this nations most valuable resources. Here at Haskell we strive each day to teach, nurture, guide, and grow our “resources” into healthy, productive, critical thinkers, and life long learners. Haskell Middle School is a professional learning community dedicated to the academic, civic, and interpersonal success of all our students. The faculty regularly collaborate, plan, and implement research based instructional practices designed to facilitate student achievement. As principal, it is my goal to ensure that our students receive a standards based comprehensive learning experience that will prepare them for high school and beyond.
Haskell Middle School is proud to offer programs that enrich our student’s academic development and sense of accomplishment such as AVID (Advancement Via Individual Determination), which equips students with important organizational and study skills focused on college/university attendance and graduation. WEB (Welcome Everybody) employs 8th graders to lead and mentor 7th graders, helping them successfully transition from elementary to middle school. Haskell students learn television broadcasting, participate in musical, band and dramatic performances, as well as competitive extracurricular sports to round out the instructional day. We at Haskell maintain high expectations for our students and we appreciate and thank our parent groups, PTSA and Site Council for their support and contributions to Haskell Middle School students and staff.
